Engineering and Construction of Conveyor Systems
Engineering and Construction of Conveyor Systems
Our engineering team designs and optimizes conveyor belt systems for new installations, extensions and retrofits. We calculate belt tensions, select suitable textile or steel cord constructions and define components such as pulleys, idlers, transfer points and chute geometries. Using application-specific wear protection – rubber, PU, Linatex®, polyethylene or Teflon™ – we design linings and coatings that minimize impact, abrasion, build-up and noise.
GBT also supports structural modifications, steelwork and mechanical adjustments of existing conveyors, including steep and vertical conveying with Flexowell, corrugated sidewall and cleated belts. By coordinating drive design, belt tracking devices, scraper systems and pulley lagging, we reduce spillage and dust, improve alignment and increase throughput across the entire conveyor line. All measures are planned with a focus on safe operation, maintainability and documented performance data.
